Catene Scarlatto Impero Vase with Lid by Gio Ponti

Catene Scarlatto Impero Vase with Lid by Gio Ponti - GINORI 1735

Part of a superb series of Empire style-inspired decorative containers of rare sophistication, this vase with lid combines the elegance of its Neo Classical shape and the modern accent of its scarlet-red decoration, part of the Catene collection designed by Gio Ponti in 1926. This piece was crafted of porcelain with an elongated silhouette standing on a cubic pedestal and surmounted by a curved conical lid. The gold accents elegantly contrast with the minimalism of the chain-shaped decoration for a striking effect.
