Catene Smeraldo Set of 6 Dinner Plates by Gio Ponti

Catene Smeraldo Set of 6 Dinner Plates by Gio Ponti - GINORI 1735

This superb set of six dinner plates is part of the Catene collection, designed by legendary artist Gio Ponti in 1926. The minimalist decoration that graces the white background of each piece is painted a vivid emerald green and consists of a series of rectangles linked together to evoke the pattern of a chain. Each plate was crafted of fine porcelain and is marked around its circumference with a delicate gold band. This set will be an exquisite addition to an elegant dining table, especially when combined with the other pieces in the same series.
