Catene Smeraldo Set of Milk Jug and Sugar Bowl with Lid by Gio Ponti

Part of the Catene collection of refined porcelain tableware, this set of milk jug (cc 245) and sugar bowl with lid (cc 330) is a superb combination of traditional silhouettes and modern decorations. The delicate curls and round handles of this set are marked with a luminous gold band, strikingly complemented by the emerald green chain-pattern that crosses both jug and bowl. This geometric motif was designed by creative genius Gio Ponti in 1926, when he was creative director of the brand. For a stunning effect, it is possible to combine this set with the other coffee and tea items in the same series.
