Catene Zaffiro Round Platter by Gio Ponti

Catene Zaffiro Round Platter by Gio Ponti - GINORI 1735

Part of the Catene collection (chains, in English), designed in 1926 by master artist Gio Ponti when he was the creative director of Richard Ginori, this exquisite round platter is called Zaffiro (sapphire, in English), hinting at the color of the elegant decoration that graces its rim. A succession of geometric elements linked together to create the image of a chain, this simple and elegant pattern is modern and sophisticated, adorned with a gold rim running around the perimeter of the piece.
