Cobalt Blue Vase #7

Cobalt Blue Vase #7 - Vincenzo Cutugno

Infusing sophistication in any decor, this refined porcelain vase is best showcased on a console or side table with tall-stemmed flowers or branches. This vase is unique for the crafting and decorative techniques used to bring it to life. The color pigments are first placed on a flat surface in a pattern of large cobalt-blue circles with a string of smaller gold circles; a rectangular slab is then placed onto the pigments to set and create a smooth, uniform surface. The slab is finally wrapped on a cylindrical mold to give it its final shape that enhances the dynamism of its geometric pattern.
