Galleria Romanelli

Fortunata Sculpture

This stunning objet d'art, handcrafted of gypsum by sculptor Raffaello Romanelli in 2015, won the award Premio Firenze in Palazzo Vecchio, Florence. This powerfully evocative piece portraits the bust of a blindfold woman, like in the traditional iconography of Fortune, an important Roman goddess. This sculpture is part of a limited series of six, four copies (numbered with Roman numbers) and two copies by the artist - all signed by Romanelli. This exquisite decorative object boasts sublime craftsmanship, especially in the drapery that covers the woman's features.
