Ballerini Sculpture - Agnese Parronchi

Inspired by the raw and geometric dynamism of Futuristic art, this sculpture is the three-dimensional rendition of a drawing by Fortunato Depero. In it, two figures walk toward each other, dressed like gypsies in black and white with expressive red shadows. Their plastic poses seem to freeze in time a dance or a fight, adding a sense of movement to their unique silhouettes. The piece was crafted of clay that was poured into a gypsum mold and then fired twice, with the second firing adding colors and a glass finish.
