Entirely handcrafted in historical Venetian workshops, this decorative panel by Amelia Corvino is a stunning exercise in contrasts. Fashioned of refined yellow damask and internally filled with fine natural cotton, this piece is enclosed in a wooden frame painted by hand. Its name takes inspiration by musical counterpoint ("contrappunto" in Italian), the combination of different melodies in one unique piece. In the same way, this piece unifies East and West by combining a typical damask pattern on the top, and an Islamic geometric motif in vivid green on the bottom.
