Saber Knife with Boxwood Handle

Saber Knife with Boxwood Handle - Coltellerie Berti

This unique knife is used on ceremonial occasions to open a bottle of champagne, with the technique called sabrage. Its long and curved blade has a sharp tip and is made entirely in stainless steel with an ornate carved decoration. The handle is in boxwood, an evergreen shrub. Used to separate the cork and collar from the neck of the bottle in one single gesture, this piece will make an arresting effect in any occasion it is used.
