Andrea Mercati

Lac Floor Lamp #1

Lac Floor Lamp #1 - Andrea Mercati

The epitome of minimalist elegance, this parallelepiped-shaped floor lamp was originally designed for an exclusive lighting exhibition in Città di Castello, Umbria. The wooden structure is fully lacquered in black, hinting at matchsticks and paying homage to the Japanese charring technique of Shou Sugi Ban, meant to play a special protective function. The light radiates from the central bulb, creating an enchanting halo all around the silhouette.
