Leather Jewelry Box with Brass Fish

This leather jewelry box is an exquisite piece of hand-craftsmanship. The interior structure was constructed in wood with cardboard and acid-free paper reinforcements. The structure was then covered entirely in fine vegetable tanned Tuscan calf skin in a deep red hue, and the interior was lined in natural tanned Tuscan split suede of the highest quality. The closure and hinges are in golden brass, as well as the delicately crafted fish adorning the lid of this piece. Blind lettering and tooling technique was used to work the leather.
