Inspired by the research and deconstruction of the "macchia" technique, a traditional Murano glass method, this set of two mouth-blown glasses features a striking combination of brown, orange, and ivory. The spots ("macchie") have an opaque effect, created by repeatedly applying colorful pigments and flakes, hence the name of the collection, "Macchia su Macchia". Each piece takes four hours and one master plus two assistants to be made, using iron and wooden tools. These works of art can be paired with others in the same series for a colorful effect.
