Designed by Vico Magistretti in 2003, this armchair combines the warmth of wood rendered by one of the best architects of contemporary design with the timeless allure of Thonet's pieces. Vaguely inspired by Chinese seats, this piece is distinctive for Magistretti's refined touch. The structure is made of solid beechwood with elements curved with the historic Thonet's steam method. The seat is a single sheet of ply-beechwood covered by green saddle leather that curves sinuously to create the center of the backrest.
