Notte Giorno #2 Sculpture/Vase by Nino Basso

Notte Giorno #2 Sculpture/Vase by Nino Basso - Design Center 1991

The contrast between daylight and darkness inspired artist Nino Basso to craft this singular ceramic piece - an hybrid between a sculpture and a vase - following the ancient Japanese raku technique. The semi-spherical body is externally finished in anthracite gray without the use of oxides, while the flat, disk-like surface featuring a central hole flaunts a textured surface combining gray and white. Supplied with care instructions.
