Opus I Tapestry has been handwoven on a traditional 4-shaft loom. The title of this piece takes its name from an ancient technique of overlapping bricks to build stone huts (tholos), ancient rural shelters used by shepherds in central Italy. This tapestry has been woven using a combination of handmade and mechanical spinning yarns: hand-spun Tibetan wool, cotton and linen, this gives each weaving work a specific tactile and visual feel.
