It depicts a Paladin woman's face, a Medieval female knight part of the characters portrayed in the Opera dei Pupi - Sicilian marionette theater part of the UNESCO world heritage list since 2008. Accented by a rich feathered crown and yellow earrings, it was handcrafted from white clay, engobed, painted in vivid colors, and finally vitrified.
