Inspired by daylily and hibiscus flowers, this floral sculpture features a raku-fired, fireclay blossom with a metallic violet-gold finish, which blooms forth from a stone-shaped fireclay base with a green enamel finish. The base is raku-fired, before being baked in a traditional kiln, giving it an irregular, mossy appearance. The removable flower is attached to an iron stem.
