The original frame of this armchair has been restored by designer Nicoletta Gatti, transforming this antique piece into a modern marvel. The structure is re-padded and re-upholstered with out-of-stock fabrics by historic textile maker Rubelli. The back, sides, and cushions are covered with a colorful print of banana leaves and tropical flowers with an aquamarine background, while the armrests are a simple contrast in red cotton velvet with red piping. This one-of-a-kind piece was introduced at Milan Design Week 2019 and will add charm to a modern living room or private study.
