Sleepy Hussar on Visionary Horse Sculpture

A refined interest in anthropology inspired master ceramist Diego Poloniato to craft this one-off ceramic sculpture depicting a sleepy hussar sitting atop an imaginary horse. Its minutely-carved body is obtained by combining self-produced, semi-refractory clays fired at high temperatures. The treatment with pure oxides and final vitrification step seals the impeccable look and two-tone aesthetic. Each piece is distinguished by singular details.
