Stromboli large green jar

Stromboli large green jar - Unurgent

The glaze for this vase is made with lava rocks from the island of Stromboli in Italy.
Stromboli has been active for the past 2,000–5,000 years. The summit craters erupt with small energetic bursts, containing ash, incandescent lava fragments and stone blocks. This vessels is waterproof. The small crack on the base does not affect the integrity of the vessel. The volcanic series is a visual and physical study of volcanoes. The body of the vessels is made of stoneware and turned at the wheel.
