Testa di Moro/Malandrina Set of 2 Gold Vases

$530

DESCRIPTION

Clad in gold, like a mythologic pair of god and goddess, this duo of vases is a striking combination of traditional inspiration and contemporary aesthetic. Crafted entirely by hand using ancient methods and depicting staple subject of the Sicilian pottery (the Moro and the Malandrina), the monochromatic, gold finish of this gives it a modern twist. The elegant features of the two pieces are shaped by hand and fired once for 10-12 hours before adding the enamel and the elegant color finish. The last firing in the kiln adds a vivid quality to the color for a striking effect.
