Meet Paris-based designer Anne Sophie Pailleret and discover her favorite Artemest pieces. She is is known for creating spaces that feel elegant and precious but never overdone. Her style is sophisticated and grounded in precision and her vision of interior design is a pragmatic mix of creative solutions with a one-of-a-kind aesthetic.
For Anne-Sophie Paillleret, interior design is a pragmatic endeavor that requires solutions that are both creative and aesthetic. The goal is to decorate comfortable and elegant environments that enhance the art of living. To achieve this, she searches for the perfect balance: rooms are pared to their essentials and wonderfully curated.
The choice of refined materials, culled from a seemingly infinite selection, is the most fertile ground for creating an atmosphere, also thanks to the light, which is perfectly modulated and controlled so that the overall ambiance radiates warmth.
Decorative Arts and accessories are the final touch in creating a space that is completed. To do it right, she inserts photographs, paintings, sculptures, textiles, rugs, and art objects so that each room takes on personality and uniqueness.
Each piece must be able to tell its own story by blending naturally with its background for an overall feeling of harmony in the space.

How did you first become involved in the world of design? Tell us your story.
Working for the luxury jewelry industry, I made my first decorations for ephemeral sets, luxury events and the fashion world.
How would you describe your personal style and what’s the personal signature that makes your project unique?
I would describe my personal style as warm, colorful, chic and precious but also confortable and welcoming.
Are there any specific trends that you're currently blending in your practice?
I don't follow any real trend, but rather my instincts before all, mixing warm colors in monochromacy and many patterned fabrics paired with flowing colors. No strong constraints, but materials that are refined, with a play of reliefs that creates a sophisticated atmosphere.
Where do you draw inspiration for your projects?
My inspiration comes from nature, exhibitions, books, photography, and especially travel. I always have a suitcase to pack!
What is the decorative piece you enjoy selecting for your clients and why?
All of them, but especially the lamps, I like them very much, I have 32 of them in my living room!
What is your favorite project you have worked on and why?
Any project where the client is confident and happy to share, or sometimes let us create with "carte blanche" which happens every other time.
What would be your dream project to work on?
I would love to work on a chalet! It has never happened but it would be a real dream to mix raw and rough materials of the environment with other precious and refined ones.
What do you think is going to be the next big trend in interior design?
Simplicity, joy and warmth, and « home feeling » no matter what.
Do you have an interior design master that you look up to?
Royere, Franck, Catrou, Pinto, Ponti... endless, difficult question because it depends on mood, more recently also Kelly Weastler for example.
