Master glassmaker Paolo Zornetta established Specchi Veneziani in Mira, near Venice, where he crafts superb pieces using ancient glass-making techniques handed down generations. The artisan workshop is specialized in prized mirror designs, enchanting in their assortment of shapes and colors for the crystal and the etched detailing and finishes, celebrating authentic Venetian tradition. From designs in impeccable classic style to pieces with a fresh modern personality, each object crafted by Paolo Zornetta captures glass-making artistry and history.
Preserving Venetian tradition through glass, transforming ancient artisanal techniques into timeless creations.

Rooted in the heart of Venetian artisanal tradition, Specchi Veneziani preserves and reinterprets the art of the Venetian mirror through knowledge passed down across three generations. The company’s origins trace back to Paolo’s grandfather, who first specialized in Murano-style chandeliers before dedicating himself to handcrafted Venetian mirrors. This heritage was later continued by Paolo’s parents and today lives on through Paolo and his collaborators.
Each mirror is entirely handcrafted using traditional Venetian techniques. Hand-engraved glass decoration and glass grinding are central to the company’s identity, creating refined motifs that range from floral and figurative designs to geometric patterns. Every element is assembled by hand, preserving the authenticity and quality of historic Murano craftsmanship.
The collection combines traditional materials with contemporary details, resulting in pieces that complement both classic and modern interiors. Some mirrors feature antiqued finishes, deep hand engravings, and artistic glass decorations inspired by Venice’s rich aesthetic heritage. The creations presented on Artemest stand out for their balance of elegance, craftsmanship, and strong territorial identity.
Each piece is unique, telling a story of tradition, expertise, and attention to detail. The collection ranges from simpler models to more elaborate designs enriched with Murano glass elements created exclusively for each piece.
Beyond craftsmanship, the company is committed to preserving a cultural heritage that is gradually disappearing. Through his daily work, Paolo helps keep historic Venetian glassmaking techniques alive, with the hope of passing this knowledge on to future generations.
