As part of Homo Faber in Città 2026 hosted by Sanlorenzo Arts at Casa Sanlorenzo, Artemest presents Ca' Riflesso, a new immersive project that brings the world of Italian craftsmanship to life, with Venetian artistry at its heart. Ca' Riflesso - from the Venetian word Ca', meaning home, and the Italian Riflesso, meaning reflection - transports visitors into the intimate setting of a traditional Venetian house, evoking the dialogue between tradition and innovation, that defines the exhibition.
Open to the public from September 1 to September 30, 2026, the installation unfolds within Casa Sanlorenzo, in Venice’s Dorsoduro district, transforming the historic residence into the home of an imaginary collector through a curated selection of pieces by more than 50 Italian artisans.
CA' RIFLESSO BY ARTEMEST
September 1 - 30, 2026 | 10am - 7pm
Casa Sanlorenzo, Venice

Set in a late-1940s building once used as a private residence, Casa Sanlorenzo is in Dorsoduro, steps away from Punta della Dogana and the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute. The space unfolds across two exhibition floors and opens onto a generous garden. Restored by Piero Lissoni's studio, the building preserves traces of its past while introducing a contemporary language of clarity and light - an evocative setting for Artemest's exploration of Venetian craft, atmosphere, and reflection.
Across each room, Artemest offers a contemporary portrait of the region's craft and material expertise. Murano glass, handcrafted furniture, sculptural lighting, and decorative objects come together in a unified domestic narrative, celebrating the traditions and expertise that define the territory.

Ca' Riflesso by Artemest is presented as part of Homo Faber in Città, hosted by Sanlorenzo Arts alongside Homo Faber 2026. In a city where light reflects and multiplies across water, the house becomes an intimate theater of craftsmanship, where each object appears to have just arrived, been selected, moved, or left momentarily unfinished. Rather than presenting craft as display, Ca' Riflesso imagines craft as lived presence, a place shaped by memory, desire, and the quiet rituals of domestic life.

Ca’ Riflesso was born from the idea of a Venetian home that does not reveal itself all at once. It is a space made of reflections, pauses, and objects that carry the trace of the human hand.

Homo Faber in Città is part of a city-wide programme of events staged during Homo Faber 2026: An Island of Light, the international celebration of contemporary craftsmanship held on San Giorgio Maggiore Island. Beyond the island, visitors are invited to explore craftsmanship across Venice, Burano and Murano through events, exhibitions and activities.
Presented by the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship, Homo Faber 2026: An Island of Light invites visitors to explore the fundamental relationship between light, materials, and the human hand, a theme that finds a natural resonance in Ca’ Riflesso, where the shifting light of Venice becomes both narrative device and design material.
