The eighteen-century aristocratic Villa takes its name from the lovely and stone borgo of Ama, that five centuries ago was a florid farming and winemaking center. The winery was founded in the 1970s by a group of families that wanted restore Ama's past glories, preserving the production of Chianti Classico, one of the world's most prestigious wines.

Kept with love and dedication, today Castello di Ama has one of the most refined Contemporary Art Collections in Europe, becoming the perfect choice for art-lovers and connoisseurs from all over the world. Thanks to its exclusive location in the middle of beautiful vineyards and gardens, the winery can offers also relaxing tours throughout the hamlet and natural paths, where guests can enjoy sophisticated wine tastings

Another Villa in the hamlet, Villa Pianigiani, hosts Il Ristoro di Ama, the exquisite restaurant where Sicilian-born chef Giovanni offers a selection of regional dishes cooked with fresh and seasonal ingredients coming directly from Il Ristoro's orto. In the afternoon, it would be possible to taste some of the best wines of the winery while sitting on the relaxing terrace of the restaurant and enjoying the stunning view.
