Toscana Earth Table Vase with Shell Imprint

This original one-off vase belongs to the Toscana Earth series of pieces characterized by a distinctive cracked surface and natural colors inspired by the Tuscan landscape. Hand-thrown on a wheel, the vase is crafted using a special blend of high-temperature stoneware clays and sculpted in a tall cylindrical shape with a small, raised mouth. The second firing at high temperature in an oxygen-reduction kiln brings to the surface the impurities creating a unique and rich earth tone.
