Blue 72 KŌ Geishi Natsukarekusa Karuru Panel by Ginette Caron and Masami Moriyama

This item is crafted from silk and cotton over a vertical wood panel supported by a honeycomb structure. According to Japanese tradition, the year is divided into 24 periods and 72 KŌs, or seasons, each one representing the small transitions that Nature undergoes during a year. This piece represents the Geishi or Midsummer period from June 27th to July 6th.
