Painting Freestanding Screen by Alessandra Baldereschi

Consistent with the brand's continuous exploration of metal's design potential, De Castelli has created pieces such as this free-standing screen in which the 3-D coatings infuse the metal with a fabric-like quality. Composed of three hinged panels, horizontal waves of Verdigris, DeLabré brass, brushed copper, DeLabre natural black iron, and polished stainless steel finishes shape the outlines of the charming natural landscape. The different surface oxidations and brushing techniques are carried entirely by hand, creating the effect of oil paint on canvas.
