Stefania Dei Rossi's work echoes the artisan workshops of yesteryear: the slow rhythm of movement, the patience of waiting, the trust in skilled hands.

Daughter of a fine arts restorer, she grew up surrounded by solvents, paints, brushes, and canvases, learning that beauty is a craft even before it is an image. In the home-workshop of her childhood, she learned a rigorous and meditative approach, where every mark is measured and every gap is filled with the sobriety of someone who comes from a background in restoration.

Today, her studio “Oro & Disegni,” opened in Venice in 2024, is a place of proximity to materials, where visitors can see that the works are created at the workbench, not from a catalog. This is where the original designs take shape, from which the furnishing accessories and home collections are then derived, made with the same artisanal discipline, reaffirming the uniqueness of handmade items as opposed to the standardization of mass-produced products.

Each piece stems from the desire to transfer the design onto media other than paper, going beyond the confines of the frame to find a new dimension of use and perspective.
