Distinguished by clean cuts, the clay is cut by the turner. Minimal design, inspired by Japanese oriental taste, where the Raku technique originates. The aesthetic focus of Raku ceramics is wabi-sabi: an ideal of beauty found in imperfect and time-worn things. In Raku firing, it is the glaze and smoke that determine the texture of the vessels.
