Essenza Floor Lamp by Roberto Cicchinè

Steadily balanced on a small round base, this lamp epitomizes the intrinsic nature of lighting through a minimalist design of great visual allure perfect for quiet corners or intimate areas of relaxation. Designed by Roberto Cicchinè and created by Marco Ripa, this is formed by bending a single black powder-coated metal tube into a Z shape and topping it with a single direct spotlight that can be rotated and adjusted in any desired angle. The lamp can be transformed into a pendant light by simply pulling the wire into the tubular stem to the chosen height.

Discovering the Artisan

Agnes Duerrschnabel Atelier
Lombardia, Italy | Artist
German-born artisan Agnes Duerrschnabel has had an unconventional artistic journey. First moving to Milan for a language course, she worked as an interpreter and sworn translator for the Court of Como for over 30 years. Never once setting aside her passion for art, she returned to Germany in 2007 to study at the National Institute for Ceramics Design in Höhr-Grenzhausen and, in 2013, opened a workshop in Como’s historic Santa Margherita monastery. Her unique pieces have a delicate aesthetic that feature grès, porcelain, and natural elements such as marine wood and stones.Discover more
