A large convex mirror framed in Regency-style wood and adorned with small spheres, utilizing traditional Florentine techniques. The antiqued finish is achieved with pure silver leaf applied over a chalk and bole base, then burnished, lightly worn, subtly oxidized, and patinated with natural waxes and earth pigments. Convex mirrors, known as "magic mirrors" or "witch's eyes", have reflected entire rooms since the Renaissance.
