La Torre de Hércules Vase
USD 1,520

SOLD
The stoneware vase depicts Hercules' tenth labor, where he stole the oxen of Geryon, a cruel king who fed animals with human flesh. Geryon had three bodies and heads but one soul, guarded by a two-headed dog named Orto. After a fierce three-day battle, Hercules defeated Geryon, buried him, and founded a city on the site, building a tower to defend the coast.
