Sealight Aquatint

This splendid print channels a sense of hope and delight, arising from the instinctive desire for daylight at sea. The techniques employed in its printmaking are etching and aquatint, both using chemicals to retain ink inside specific areas and lines of a metal plate and later press into the Somerset Rag (100% cotton paper). All of the inked elements are rendered in exquisite details, underlining every branch or twig on the way to the coast. This piece is part of a limited edition of nine pieces.
