Teapot Sculpture

Reminiscent of a fanciful teapot this sculpture is made with the "paper-clay" technique, that consists of mixing white clay with paper. This material is ideal for making delicate and thin shapes, such as the tiny spout and handle and the flowers that adorn the surface. The reduction process in the second firing has produced a wonderful array of gold highlights. This piece has been exhibited in many shows and has been documented in the respective art catalogs.
