Whimsically inspired by a tower, this cylindrical bookcase makes for an artful solution where to display books, photo frames, and sculptures on a likewise sculptural body. The natural-finished cedar structure boasts an extensive openwork design that also plays a visually lightening function that adds to mere functionality. A black-stained variant is available in the Artemest catalog.

Discovering the Artisan
Riva 1920
Lombardia, Italy | Carpenter
Riva’s story all began in the 1920s in a small cabinetmaking workshop in Cantù, Brianza run by Nino Romano. In the ‘40s, the founder’s son-in-law, Mario Riva, joined the business and was later followed by his son Maurizio and grandson Davide, focusing their work on tailor-made collections toward the end of the ‘70s. In 1992, Riva participated in the Milano Salone del Mobile, and in 2010, it unveiled the Riva Center by Renzo Piano Building Workshop. Known for enhancing wood through natural oils and waxes, the brand is committed to sustainability and reusing materials.Discover more
