DLA design lab is an Italian design brand that operates in the contract sector, creating interior projects for commercial spaces and unique pieces of furniture through its own collection, created by drawing inspiration from the world derived from industrial style to furnish the dynamic metropolitan refuges of today's dwellings.
Today's dwellings defined as metropolitan refuges, interpreted as a kind of imaginary escape from the city to pleasant places that reside in memories, travels and memories. An intimate place to relax and rest, in an ambition of quiet and beauty that materialises through targeted design choices, in an atmosphere of serene elegance.
Within the D-LAB Collection, there are designs of furnishing accessories that embody a fusion of luxury and contemporaneity, a celebration of visual and tactile comfort, designed to evoke a feeling of warmth and welcome.
Years of experience in the world of custom and bespoke furniture design has led to the realisation of a personal interpretation of the material, giving shape to a collection of furniture designed and produced on commission, and in limited series. An unprecedented collection made up of pieces on the borderline between art and design, in which craftsmanship is pushed to the limits of its potential with artisanal and sartorial methods at the service of sculptural solutions in which the objects include tradition and contemporary concepts, focusing on the dissemination of the manufacture of their territory.
There are homages to the past and to the world of vintage, industrial style, and minimalism, in a meltin pot that also represents the soul of the land of origin of the DLA DESIGN LAB Team: Genoa, and its port city.
DLA aims to apply a multidisciplinary approach to work that sees direct knowledge of materials and craftsmanship as the key to interpreting the figure of the architect in the contemporary world. In this way, the traditional link between design and construction is investigated through material experimentation and re-proposed with the project according to an approach that makes ‘learning by doing’ its foundation, with accurate production still carried out in manufacturing workshops in the Liguria region, which represent the essence of ‘made in Italy’.
DLA design_lab wants to propose an enrichment of the professional activity through the knowledge of craftsmanship, in order to experiment interior architecture interventions capable of creating situations of urban regeneration, also through exhibitions, temporary installations and ephemeral constructions with implications on the social and urban fabric.
