Fabscarte

Fabscarte is a brand of high craftsmanship based in Milano. They specialize in the production of hand-painted wallpapers. Leading with nearly 40 years of experience, since 2012 Luigi Scarabelli and Emilio Brazzolotto along with a group of young craftsmen, gave life to Fabscarte. The Fabscarte team is constantly inspired by nature and art,to create handmade wallpapers that combine material, texture and color in unprecedented ways, giving a new language to interior design.

For Fabscarte, thought and craftsmanship come together in the work, bringing the concept of "hand thought" to a deeper level. Artisanal works are no longer “simply” handmade, but are the result of a creative process that originates from feeling, passes through thinking, and finally flows through the artisan's skilled hands. The result is a tangible work of art that originates from a sensation and aims to evoke as many emotions as possible in the viewer.

At Fabscarte, through our work, we convey something that brings us closer to art and its philosophy: we start from the object to reach its essence. While anyone can paint a forest on paper, delivering a clear and immediate message, Fabscarte goes beyond that: we seek our identity, avoiding the mere reproduction of a classic formal painting. In the informal, there is no finished form, only pure emotion that comes to life through art. The less form there is, the more one captures the emotion from which everything began. In our designs, we deconstruct the image to reveal its essence. It's a more challenging approach to communicate, but far deeper and open to interpretation.
