MMOOS. is a contemporary Italian design brand dedicated to creating functional objects in natural stone, marble, and travertine. Each piece is rigorously monomaterial, deeply poetic, highly symbolic, purely essential, and deliberately unconventional.

Every object is produced in limited series, yet the inherent variability of the material makes each piece unique. MMOOS. projects into the future a rich artisanal heritage rooted in Turin, passed down through generations by the Sommo family, master stonemasons since 1919.

Committed to sustainability, MMOOS. sources unused, previously quarried stone, recovering blocks from sites closed decades ago. This responsible approach minimizes extraction practices, preserving non-renewable natural resources while uncovering rare materials. For the MOSTRO collection, available on Artemest, the Rosa Peralba marble blocks used come from a quarry disused in the 1990s in the Dolomites, near Brunico.

Designed by the Turin-based studio BRH+, which also curates the brand’s art direction, MOSTRO is a collection of furniture and decorative objects in Rosa Peralba marble and Travertine. It is an invitation to embrace the extraordinary, blending ancient and modern influences through sculptural symbolism. The collection’s shapes evoke the Italian Neo-Liberty movement, transforming stone into modular elements, architectural fragments with variable geometries, merging tradition and contemporary aesthetics.

Some pieces integrate custom-designed lighting elements, crafted with high-quality components to meet the highest performance and safety standards. Their engineering was developed in collaboration with ILTI LUCE, a prestigious Italian lighting company recognized internationally for its innovation and craftsmanship.
