The history of Posta Marcucci dates back to the 1856, when the Marcucci family, originally from Bagno Vignoni, began to run an inn with grocery stores and postal address. A century later, the family started to build the central body of the current hotel on a sprawled vineyard. The one-of-a-kind Posta Marcucci Hotel is located in the heart of Val d'Orcia in the flourishing region of Tuscany. It can be reached by taking the Cassia, an ancient and suggestive Roman road. The structure of the building is simple, set in the green of a beautiful garden and overlooks the valley from above: it offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscapes. Many medieval and Renaissance hamlets are nestled around Posta Marcucci, where churches and palaces enshrines masterpieces that have made and still make Italy a unique country in the world.

Inside, Posta Marcucci surprises its guests thanks to beautiful rooms furnished with unique pieces meticulously chosen to tastefully decorate each space: tables, drapes, floor lamps, armchairs, carpets, paintings transmit a welcoming feeling of calm and tranquillity. The 36 rooms are comfortable, spacious and inviting: some of them can also offer a stunning view of the Valley.

The swimming pool, immersed in the garden, overlooks the Val d'Orcia. This water rich in calcium, iron and zinc, ideal for soothing arthritis and rheumatism, has been distinguished for centuries for its healthiness. It is known as Etruscans and Romans loved this place, as well as Caterina Benincasa, patron saint of Italy, Pope Pius II and Lorenzo the Magnificent described its quality and virtue.
