This year’s edition is marked by a record number of international participants, with over 300 submissions from 45 countries —a true testament to the global resurgence of glass art and the growing appreciation for this ancient craft. The festival’s diverse program offers an extraordinary range of experiences, providing both connoisseurs and curious visitors with the chance to engage deeply with the world of glassmaking. The Glass Bateo (the ‘bateo’ is the traditional Venetian waterbus) will traverse the iconic canals of Venice for the duration of the festival. A picturesque voyage that has the aim of introducing the fascinating history and appeal of Murano’s artistic glass to the widest possible public.
