A striking texture, symbolizing the fossils of madrepores, acts as a skeleton for this vase of the Fossilia collection. The stunning composition, the perfection of form and the accuracy in the details of the porcelain make this piece an exquisite objet d'art. The vase is embellished by the use of gold which has been applied by hand and fixed through an additional firing process.

Discovering the Artisan
Traglio Vismara
Lombardia, Italy | Painter
Born in Italy in 1955, Isabella Vismara studied art in Milan before moving to the United States for her artistic debut in a group exhibition at the Boston Fine Arts Museum in 1979. Her subsequent group exhibition - Gli AmiciPittori - was in 2002 at the Superstudio in Milan, achieving critical acclaim. Her signature painting technique, cold encaustic on wood, allows for a more textural effect than oil paint. Her Human Kind Visiting God (2014) in Robilant+Voena (London) and Anima Mundi (2016) at Sotheby's (Milan) are just a few of her successful solo exhibitions.Discover more
