Efesto Multifunctional Coffee Table by Martina Geroni

Presented at 2020 EDIT Napoli, this multifunctional, architectural coffee table by Martina Geroni is inspired by the automaton, the tripod Hephaestus devised that walked to and from Mount Olympus. The table consists of five stoneware vases made on a lathe with a natural earthy finish, forming the sculptural base for the wooden top covered with pomegranate-colored TerraPlus by Matteo Brioni. Each vase's name indicates a body feature (foot, belly, shoulder, neck, rim, and handle) and can be used individually or combined into different shapes to suit any taste or aesthetic.
