Fili Carpet

This unique carpet is in wool and was executed with the "Pibiones" and "Litzos" techniques, traditional of the island of Sardinia. The decoration has two separate layers: the top one represents a prickly pear, typical of the Sardininan countryside, while the bottom, with more compact weaving, represents the soil. Paulina Herrera, who designed this piece, evokes transformation, use, and rebirth with the use of black, gray and striking red wool.
