The Ibridazioni Collection features a combination of zoomorphic or phytomorphic pieces such as this singular red monkey mask in majolica. The piece is crafted and finished entirely by hand following the "colombino" technique, in which rings of clay are overlapped to give a first, unrefined shape to the sculpture before getting fired at 960°C. The application of red glaze is followed by a final firing at 930°C. Please consult the Concierge for customization options.

Discovering the Artisan
Freaklab
Sicilia, Italy | Ceramist
Freaklab is a contemporary atelier, a creative workshop producing majolica terracotta pieces, established in Palermo by Antonio Sunseri in 2016. Freaklab serves up original pieces that draw inspiration from the relationship between man and nature, featuring animals and monstrous creatures. To convey his ideas, Antonio uses a paintbrush to represent the world of painting, a pencil, the symbol of drawing, and a scalpelto shape his materials.Discover more
