For Milan Design Week 2026, Artemest presents the fourth edition of L’Appartamento by Artemest. Returning to the storied Palazzo Donizetti on Via Gaetano Donizetti 48, this year’s exhibition unveils a new curatorial chapter dedicated to Italian Grandeur— a tribute to the enduring magnetism of Italy’s artistic legacy, architectural language, and exceptional craftsmanship.


Within this remarkable setting, five acclaimed design studios— Charlap Hyman & Herrero, MAWD | March & White Design, Rockwell Group, Sasha Adler Design, and Urjowan Alsharif Interiors — each transform a distinct space, showcasing a curated selection of Italian furniture, lighting and décor by Artemest’s finest artisans.

The Location

Palazzo Donizetti is a 19th-century architectural masterpiece nestled in Via Gaetano Donizetti 48. This magnificent residence epitomizes Italy’s timeless elegance, showcasing a harmonious blend of artistic influences. Renaissance grace, Baroque splendor, and the delicate charm of the Liberty style intertwine seamlessly, creating an atmosphere of unparalleled sophistication.


Every corner of Palazzo Donizetti tells a story of refined craftsmanship and artistic heritage. Its interiors are adorned with soaring ceilings, exquisitely detailed frescoes, and an air of understated grandeur that transports visitors to another era. At the heart of the palazzo lies its most striking feature—a breathtaking elliptical staircase, crowned by an intricate wrought-iron balustrade, gracefully linking the three floors of this historic residence.

Lelio Zuccalà curated the official playlist for L’Appartamento by Artemest, setting the perfect tone for the design journey.

All curtains presented throughout the exhibition are crafted using fabrics supplied by Rubelli, the historic Venetian house celebrated for its unparalleled textile expertise, whose valued partnership has been instrumental in bringing each designer’s vision to life.


Books featured in the exhibition are curated in collaboration with Phaidon and Monacelli, the leading global publishers of the creative arts, and are available to purchase as a special library through concierge@phaidon.com.
