Less is more: I like to recognize myself in this phrase. A formal minimalism achieved through a creative process of continuous search for simplicity.

ANNA CORCIONE

Anna's artistic research is attentive to the aesthetic value of form and focuses on social engagement.Active since 2003, she uses different means of expression -painting, digital design, engraving and installation -emphasizing the material aspect to translate symbolic meanings. She lives and works between Naples and Florence, influenced by her own baroque and classical city of choice. She likes to play on the observation of everyday reality, so, while starting from the knowledge of classical art, in her projects there are themes in which the memory of the ancient is merged and translated into everyday materials.

Research and experimentation are the key words in Anna's painting: in fact, she is very interested in the processes of transformation, using oil and acrylic blending together and sometimes natural pigments and stucco. Organic elements are often included in the canvas, referring to nature, man and signs; the latter are the result of perceptions and emotions acquired during her travels. In more recent works Anna has focused her attention on digital design creating black and white and colorful digital drawings that are linked to art environmental.
