Astro Graffito Vase

Handcrafted of porcelain with a full-bodied, round silhouette, the decorations that cover the surface of this exquisite ceramic vase incorporating masterfully executed traditional techniques. A yellow star highlights the small mouth and a large cobalt band embraces the center on a red background, the bold colors enhanced by the manual “scratching” that gives a tactile quality to the vase. Finished with an iridescent glaze obtained with reduction firing at high temperatures, the colors derive from cobalt and silver nitrate. Slight differences are signs of an entirely handmade process.
