Briccola Sculpture

This sculpture is made from genuine, recovered Venetian Briccola, the oak poles set up in the Laguna of Venice to mark navigable waterways. A local variety of mollusks bore perfectly round holes into the wood, making each piece completely unique. Weather conditions also give each item a one-of-a-kind color and patina. Mounted on a rough iron base.
