An extensive multi-step process was used to craft this exquisite piece which can be used to store jewelry and other small objects. First, a polyurethane base is constructed in the desired shape, in this case a star shape graduating from top to bottom. The next step is a stucco application which gives the piece an interesting texture. The object is then gilded in pure copper leaf with a burnished finish and finally given a final epoxy resin coating. This piece will make a striking addition in a bedroom or walk in closet.
